Briefly...
I'm Alex Gough. I do computer security research and systems programming.
Very briefly, I'm a recovering, relapsed reformed physicist.
Chromium
I currently work on Windows Security & AI Security, Sandboxing, Memory Safety, IPC, and Security Review
for Chrome.
Science
I studied a PhD in Sea Ice Physics
at the University of Otago in Dunedin, New Zealand. This included
components of fieldwork at Scott Base on McMurdo Sound, Antarctica.
My thesis Sea Ice near an Ice Shelf
covered the winter growth of sea ice and the formation
and properties of the sub ice platelet layer in the vicinity of an ice shelf.
