I went to a new-ish restaurant last night, Savannah, on the corner of [[Park End Street]] in the same building as the [[Royal Oxford Hotel]]. They do a lot of fish and meat, with some veggie options, but I phoned ahead to tell them I was coming, and they said they could do something.

When I got there, the staff were great - really friendly and helpful. I was introduced to the head chef, who went through a few different options for dinner. In the end, I had a platter of mixed hot and cold antipasti with truffle oil.. including artichokes, asparagus, sun dried tomatoes, olives, mushrooms, courgettes, carrots, onion... it was delicious.

If you like wine, they have a wine tasting table where you can try a few out.. I didn't have any, so I didn't check if any were vegan. There's also a complimentary bowl of fresh tossed salad and a bottle of mineral water on the table.

I didn't have dessert, but they offered me fresh fruit.

Everything was simply made, and beautifully presented. I'd definitely go there again, but would recommend phoning ahead if you are vegan.
