  • George Street

Kake, 4 Apr 2001

This is a nice little sandwich shop on a corner of George Street, by Gloucester Green. They do hummous and salad baguettes, fresh coffee (no soya milk, though) and a range of Snapple soft drinks and fruit juices. They're open before 8am, which is convenient.

There is limited seating inside - barstools at a breakfast bar - and it can get quite noisy, so it's not the ideal place for waking up slowly over a coffee, but it's a very handy location.
