Pret seem to have re-introduced the Pret Salad Wrap, which at least used to be vegan.

Kake, 24 Jan 2001

Note for the anti-McDonalds people: M[cDonalds has bought a minority stake in Pret. A nice alternative in Oxford is Alpha, in the covered market, though this can be less convenient.

The Pret Salad Club (hummous and vegetable sandwich) was reformulated in May 2000 and is now vegan (and very nice too) and labelled as such on the shelf. The Vegetarian Sushi is also now vegan (confirmed by Pret customer services on 24 Jan 2001).

Pret do seem to answer letters about their products very quickly, and also tend to send you vouchers for free food. A few more people writing to them could do wonders for the vegan range; why not drop them a line and let them know that there are lots of us out here, and we like to get a good choice at lunchtime, the same as anyone else?
