Great service and great food. My main amendment to Hannah's review is that the chef said all of the pasta was made with egg, so my main course options were risotto or pizza without cheese.

La Capannina is a traditional Italian restaurant with homey decor & v. good food. It is miles down the Cowley Road and resembles a log cabin from the outside.(!) Vegan options are limited, but good. The main courses are:

  • Spaghetti with tomato sauce.
  • Pizza with no cheese.
  • Tagliatelle verdi with a selection of vegetables.

These are not all on the menu, but they told me that they would be happy to cook any of them. You will need to explain that you are vegan, to make sure your food will be. I had the spaghetti with tomato sauce, which was very nice, although obviously not the most exciting dish ever. This is probably somewhere to come with non-vegan (veggie or omnivore) friends, as their options are much more extensive and by all accounts very good.
