A “Vegan Pasty” is available here, for £1.75 take-away, or £1.95 eat-in. The pastry is light and tasty, and the filling is good too — well-cooked cubes of potato and swede with added herbs. This makes a good substantial hot lunch.

The Mushroom and Spinach pasty mystery is now definitely solved. It is vegan. The pasties other than the Vegan Pasty and the Mushroom and Spinach Pasty are not, as even the ones which look as though they might be have an egg wash on top.
