I think I liked it, though the music was viciously loud. The speakers were straight out of a club - huuuge things. I did think it was a nice atmosphere other than that. The Ting (imported Jamaican can of nice grapefruit fizzy stuff) is £1.50!

I went to the Hi-Lo Jamaican place on Cowley Road a couple of months ago. They always have a veggie option, and I asked if it was ok for vegans. The waitress was very helpful, and went through everything we could have. I had melon, then mixed vegetables with rice - quite unusual vegetables. The best thing about it was the friendly atmosphere. There's a bar there too, and we sat around after the meal drinking, not at all rushed.
It worked out around twelve pounds each, as far as I can remember.
Looks a bit dingy from outside, and isn't exactly luxurious, but there's plenty of room and the music and atmosphere are good.
