The Cherry Tree pub at Steventon does a good homemade vegetable chilli, served on a jacket potato or potato wedges. Not sure if it comes with cheese etc as standard, cause I always remind them to leave it off. It's around £4, and very tasty. They also do chip sandwiches etc, but these are not so good.
