the thread has died (I think this is a bad reason but mneh)
Wiki nodes are associated with mailing list posts in a many-many mapping.
Mariachi-style previews of email content.
Nodes can be categorised.
Node contents/metadata can be edited by anybody, but emails are read-only.
Threading issues - do we need to link emails to each other or do we assume that this will fall out of the association of emails with nodes? (And where it doesn't - thread drift - do we *want* to have the link?)
Categorisation - list archives are hard to find stuff in. Collaborative categorisation makes the job easier.
Participation - people not wanting to post to list because
the thread has died (I think this is a bad reason but mneh)
they want to add a very trivial correction/clarification
they want to make a note for their own future reference but don't want to 'push' the note out to the whole list (website is pull not push)
people who don't want to join the list but would be willing to contribute to a wiki
