Lentil Sauce

  1. Saute onion for a couple of minutes, until soft.
  2. Add mushrooms, pepper, garlic, and saute until mushrooms are cooked.
  3. Add lentils, enough boiling water to cover them, Worcestershire sauce, tomato puree, vinegar, and thyme.
  4. Simmer for 20-30min (until lentils are soft), adding water as necessary.
  5. Season to taste and serve.
