Creating Perl Grid Services

Problem – Create a Perl Grid Service:

• Use standalone Daemon script – it already supports state.

• Use the Perl alarm and eval functions to control lifetime.

• Simply add the core OGSI Grid Service functions.

• Useful but –

- Lots of ports being used – not firewall friendly.

- Everyone else has Containers…..
